Interpretation Dutch – French
Interpretation or translation? The terms interpretation and translation are often confused, but it is not the same thing! In both cases we can speak of a translation, however a translator translates written text behind his computer whereas an interpreter translates orally usually live on location. Some translators also provide interpreting services and vice versa, but that is not always the case. As a sworn interpreter Dutch – French I exclusively work as an interpreter and only provide interpreting services. Language TrainingNext to interpreting I work as a language trainer for the Dutch language mainly with French and English speakers. I offer Dutch courses to groups and individuals, at a beginners or at an advanced level, to private individuals or companies. I generally work with high-qualified adults who live and work in Amsterdam and wish to learn Dutch or improve on their existing skills. At work or at home, during or after working hours, my scheduling is flexible! Please contact me for a personalized offer. |
Who is Christine Monnet? An affinity for international organizations, a love for languages and different cultures, a belief in progressive social causes and politics, and an admiration for the French culture and its gastronomy… I have always loved all these elements and in my work I combine them as a Dutch-French interpreter and language trainer. Since October of 2013 I have been working as an independent freelancer from my hometown Amsterdam. |
